[Seminary-Notes]
====================================
FOR YOUR INFORMATION...
====================================
Summer is a great time for students to "get a jump"
on the upcoming Seminary year. Each summer I like to challenge students to read the book of scripture
for the coming year's Seminary study.
This summer students can be challenged to read the New Testament during their school break.
But since no two school systems seem to follow the same school schedule, each Seminary teacher has
needed to create their own summer schedule.
Until now...
I have created a spreadsheet that will automatically create two New Testament summer reading schedules:
Both reading schedules are based on starting and
ending dates that YOU enter. You may enter any dates between May 20, 2004 and September 15, 2004.
This tool allows you the flexibility of creating as many different reading schedules as you'll
need this summer.
If one student moves in during June and another student moves in during July, no problem! If a
student forgets to read and wants to start over, no problem! You can easily create a reading chart
customized for each student.
You can download a copy of the New Testament Summer Reading Schedule spreadsheet
here. A sample
of both reading schedules is also available.
The reading schedule creator is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet file.
To create a reading schedule, all you need to do is:
1)
Enter your STARTING DATE
2) Enter your ENDING DATE
3) Print one (or both) reading schedules
The New Testament Summer Reading Schedule
spreadsheet schedules reading for the entire New Testament.
Please note:
When you open the New Testament Summer Reading Schedule file, I recommend that you "Enable" macros
(if you are asked) -- so that the built-in print options will work correctly. (Depending on your
version of Excel, you may need to change your "Tools" / "Macro" / "Security" setting.)
A year-round New Testament Reading Schedule creator will be posted on June 1st for [Seminary-Notes] CLUB
members. The extended version of this reading schedule tool enables CLUB members to create reading schedules
up to 295 days long (between May 20, 2004 and June 25, 2005).
Best wishes,
