[Seminary-Notes]

FOR YOUR INFORMATION...
====================================
"Nevertheless, ye are blessed, for the testimony which ye have borne is recorded in heaven for the angels to look
upon; and they rejoice over you, and your sins are forgiven you." (Doctrine
and Covenants 62:3)
It is probably safe to say that most teenagers do not jump at the opportunity to bear their testimony
-- especially during Fast and Testimony meetings.
It is important, though, to help our youth understand not only that they have (or can develop) their own
testimony but that bearing their testimony will bless their life and the lives of those who hear their testimony.
There is strength in numbers, and this can certainly be true when it comes to Seminary students sharing and
bearing their testimonies.
You may wish to challenge your Seminary students (in class sometime during the week before a Fast Sunday) to stand
and bear their testimonies during Fast Sunday.
To "get the ball rolling," I recommend that you and your Seminary class president arise and bear your testimony
soon after the Fast and Testimony Meeting begins. (I do not recommend challenging your students from the podium,
though, as you do not wish to embarrass anyone. Your presence at the podium should serve as enough of a
reminder.)
Best wishes,
