Appreciation Notes

FOR YOUR INFORMATION...
====================================

Here's an easy idea that takes just a few minutes, but it can have a large pay-off for your students and their parents.

Take some time -- perhaps on a Sunday afternoon -- to write a short little note to the parents of each of your students.

You can thank the parents for loaning you their son or daughter each school morning. Share something unique about their child and express your love and appreciation for them.

Place each Thank You note in a small envelope and slip them to parents at appropriate times. (I recommend that you give them out one at a time over several weeks -- instead of giving every parent one on the same Sunday.)

While the appreciation notes are usually easier to write for your good students, make sure that you write a note to the parents of all of your students.

Do not mention the notes to your students. (You won't have to -- the parents will usually do it for you.)

Appreciation notes can often help soften the hearts of rebellious students and re-double the efforts of your good students.

Best wishes,

Ken
