The last [Seminary-Notes] newsletter discussed one idea for making the last week of the Seminary year beneficial -- yet new, fun, and interesting at the same time.
Here is another possible idea for the last week of Seminary...
Take one (and possibly more) days to review the entire Seminary year.
Here are some of the things I have done in previous years that have worked well:
There are several ways that you can organize your year-end review. For example, you can:
Organize your students into teams and invite them to use all of their available resources (the scriptures, notes, reference books that you might bring in, what they remember, etc.) to write down what they know about that topic or person. Give students sufficient time at the end of the class to report and discuss.

Divide students into work teams or zones and give each of them a part of the complete list from the entire year. For example, one team could be given topics or people from the New York period. A second team could be given the Kirtland period, etc.
- Use games to help students review the Seminary year. (To possibly save you some time, there are several games in the Doctrine & Covenants Volume 1 and Volume 2 Seminary Scripture Mastery Resource packets that can be used during a year-end review -- such as: the Memory Game cards, the Don't Say It! Game cards, the Concentration Game, scripture mastery activities, etc.)
You can also use the ideas above in combination --using work teams one day and a game format the following day, for example.
Just as it is important to tell students at the first each Seminary year "where they will be going" during the year; it is equally important to remind them at the end of the year "where they have been."
