Have you noticed that much of the Book of Mormon is written in a dialogue format?  A scriptural Readers' Theater takes the actual words from the scriptures and presents them in the format of a play.

Book of Mormon Readers' Theater is a fun way to add variety and interest to Gospel classrooms and Family Home Evenings!

The Book of Mormon Readers' Theater, Volume 1 contains dozens of plays for chapters from the books of 1 Nephi through Mosiah. It a 273-page book (that is published on CD-ROM in the popular Adobe Acrobat Reader .PDF file format), and it contains lots of additional bonus items -- computer jigsaw puzzles (for all of the Book of Mormon scripture mastery scriptures), graphics and samples, and a computer slide show.

The Book of Mormon Readers' Theater, Volume 1 contains Readers' Theaters ready to be printed and used in class or Family Home Evenings. (Each play is formatted so that speaking parts are easy to follow and use.)

 

Readers' Theaters are short scriptural plays that use actual (unchanged) text from the scriptures. Each chapter in the book contains:

Book of Mormon references

Approximate performance time

Suggested cast members

Numbers of parts per character

The scriptural setting

The Readers' Theater script  (sample)

An epilogue

Notes (relevant glue-in quotations from prophets and apostles)

Additional instructions, ideas, and Book of Mormon resource materials (including 10 additional pages of Book of Mormon glue-ins) are found in a series of appendices at the conclusion of the book.

Most computers today have Acrobat Reader software installed at the factory, but a copy of the Acrobat Reader software is also included on each CD.

An Instructions booklet   [sample instructions]

Software to easily install the Adobe Acrobat Reader (so you can easily read and use the book).

"Autostart" software (so that the Readers' Theater book will automatically start after the CD is placed in the user's CD drive).

Book of Mormon scripture mastery computer jigsaw puzzles. (They're easy to use and fun to to use, and you may give copies of the jigsaw puzzles to your students and family members!)  (Sample)

A slide show of Book of Mormon scripture mastery scriptures.

Selected graphics from the Readers' Theater book and samples from the Seminary Scripture Mastery Resource products.  (You can use these graphics and samples in handouts, flyers, letters, etc.)

Each Readers' Theater also contains a set of easy-to-follow Instructions (outlining installation, use, and printing of the Readers' Theater book, and how to use the bonus items). Users may print the entire book or selected chapters and pages as often as desired. The Readers' Theater book also contains electronic bookmarks, page links, and thumbnails of every page -- to increase usability.

Long narratives have been separated into more than one speaking part (Nephi, Reader 1 and Nephi, Reader 2, etc.), to help ensure the smooth flow of each play.
