How to Change Your
Computer's Desktop Wallpaper

  

With an increasing number of Seminary students using home computers, why not give them the opportunity to use a scripture mastery scripture as their computer's wallpaper (background) picture?

Now you can do just that...

Please note that these instructions are for Windows XP. If you are using NT, Windows 2000, Windows ME, or Windows 98 your options may vary slightly, but should be very similar.

You may find it handy to print these instructions before beginning...

After you can view the picture in your Internet browser:

  • Point at the picture.
  • Right click your mouse.
  • Select "Set as Desktop Background"
  • Select "Stretch" (for the Display option)
  • Check to ensure that your computer background has been changed 
    to the picture you desire.

If you have difficulties with the instructions above, here are some alternate steps you can try:

After you can view the picture with your Internet browser:

  • Point at the picture with your mouse.
  • Right click your mouse.
  • Select "Save Picture As"
  • Save the picture to a folder. (Make a note where you saved it.)
  • Close your browser and/or switch back to your computer desktop screen.

To set the picture you desire as your background picture:

  • Point your mouse at an open spot on your desktop and right click your mouse.
  • Select the "Properties" tab.
  • Select the "Background" tab.
  • Using the "Browse" button, find the picture you downloaded.
  • Click on the filename for your picture.
  • Click "Open" (to select your picture).
  • Click the "Apply" button. (Your background image should change.)
  • Click "OK"
